How To Stop Rot In Your Washing Machine

I’ve recently moved home in the last few weeks, and have bought nearly everything brand new, from washing machines, fridge freezer, sofa’s etc..
I got some advice from my great gran on how to help look after my new washing machine, which actually surprised me as I hadn’t known before.
The rubber part around the rim of your washing machine has a fold in the middle which collects water, and if left for a long time without being wiped or the water soaked away it causes rot, which can make your clothes dirty and in the end actually stop your machine from working.
So now after every wash, I grab a cloth and just wipe the inside fold of the rubber rim, easy!
